1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding legal agreement between you and LIQA ("LIQA", "we", "our", or "us"). By downloading the LIQA app, registering an account, or accessing any part of our service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the LIQA platform.
2. About LIQA
LIQA is an invite-only digital event management platform based in the State of Qatar. The platform enables hosts to:
- Create and manage private events
- Manage guest lists with the assistance of LIQA staff (concierge model)
- Send personalised invitations to guests via WhatsApp Business
- Track RSVP responses in real time
- Access premium features such as event reminders, co-manager access, and QR code check-in (VIP package)
Guests receive invitations via WhatsApp and may optionally download the LIQA app to view their invitation history.
3. Eligibility
To use LIQA as a Host, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a valid phone number capable of receiving WhatsApp messages
- Use the platform only for lawful purposes in compliance with applicable Qatari law
By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. We reserve the right to refuse access to anyone at our discretion.
4. Your Account
Your LIQA account is identified by your phone number. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your device and access to your WhatsApp number
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately at support@liqa-invite.com if you believe your account has been compromised
You may not share your account with others or transfer it to a third party. Each account is for single-user use only, unless a co-manager has been explicitly added through the platform.
5. Packages and Payments
5.1 Packages
LIQA offers two event packages: Standard and VIP. Each package is available in several tiers based on the number of invitations. Current pricing is displayed in the LIQA app in Qatari Riyal (QAR) at the time of purchase.
VIP packages include all features of Standard, plus additional benefits such as automated 24-hour reminders, a QR code check-in system, a message board for declined guests, up to 5 co-managers, and a post-event e-invitation.
5.2 Payment
All payments are processed in QAR via TAP Payments, a secure browser-based payment gateway. Payment must be completed before LIQA staff will process your guest list and send invitations.
By completing a payment, you authorise LIQA to charge the amount displayed for the selected package and tier. All charges are final upon payment confirmation.
5.3 Replacement Slots
For each invitation that is declined, hosts receive additional replacement invitation slots as follows: Standard package — 10% of declined invitations (minimum 1); VIP package — 25% of declined invitations (minimum 1). Replacement slots are calculated dynamically and are permanent — they are not reclaimed if a declined guest subsequently changes their response.
5.4 Additional Seats
If you need to add invitation capacity beyond your original purchase, please contact your LIQA concierge team. Additional seats are handled on a case-by-case basis and will require a separate payment.
6. Refunds and Cancellations
LIQA provides custom event management services. Please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details. In summary:
- Cancellations may be requested before LIQA staff have commenced work on your event (i.e., before guest list processing has begun)
- Once guest list preparation, invitation design coordination, or WhatsApp sendout has commenced, payments are non-refundable
- In exceptional circumstances, partial refunds may be considered at LIQA's sole discretion
- Third-party costs already incurred (e.g., messaging platform charges) are non-refundable in all cases
7. Host Responsibilities
7.1 Guest Data Consent
By providing guest contact information (names, phone numbers, addresses) to LIQA, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the right to share this data with LIQA for the purpose of sending invitations
- Guests have a reasonable expectation of receiving event-related communications from you via WhatsApp
- You will not provide contact information for individuals who have explicitly objected to receiving such messages
You are solely responsible for ensuring that the use of guest contact data complies with all applicable laws, including Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016).
7.2 Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for providing accurate event details, guest contact information, and any content (including invitation images) submitted to LIQA. LIQA is not liable for failed deliveries or RSVP errors resulting from incorrect phone numbers or event details.
7.3 Invitation Content
Invitation images and any event-related content you provide must not contain material that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory, or in violation of any third party's rights. LIQA reserves the right to refuse to send content that violates these standards.
7.4 Co-Managers
You may add up to 1 co-manager (Standard) or 5 co-managers (VIP) to assist with event management. Co-managers must be contacts already in your LIQA contact database. You remain responsible for all actions taken by co-managers on your event.
8. Guest Communication via WhatsApp
LIQA uses the WhatsApp Business API (provided by Twilio) to deliver invitations and automated reminders. By using the platform:
- You acknowledge that WhatsApp's own Terms of Service and Meta's policies apply to messages sent through the platform
- LIQA is not responsible for delays, non-delivery, or failures caused by WhatsApp or Twilio infrastructure
- Invitations are sent as WhatsApp template messages and include quick-reply buttons (Yes / No / Maybe)
- Guests who respond "Maybe" are counted as pending and may be followed up by an automated reminder (VIP only)
LIQA does not support two-way messaging between hosts and guests within the platform. The message board (for declined guests) is one-way: guests may leave a message, but hosts cannot reply through LIQA.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use LIQA to:
- Send unsolicited messages (spam) to individuals who have not been personally invited to your event
- Harass, threaten, or harm any individual
- Impersonate any person or organisation
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, its backend systems, or other users' accounts
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the LIQA app
- Resell or sublicense LIQA services without prior written authorisation
Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate account suspension and, where appropriate, legal action.
10. Intellectual Property
All LIQA trademarks, logos, app design, interface elements, and proprietary content are the exclusive property of LIQA and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of the invitation images and event content you provide. By submitting content to LIQA, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use, store, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of delivering your event invitations.
11. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using LIQA, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The LIQA platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, LIQA disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
LIQA shall not be liable for:
- Guest non-attendance or refusals to RSVP
- Delays or failures in WhatsApp message delivery
- Losses arising from incorrect contact information provided by the host
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind
- Any events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of LIQA shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific event package to which the claim relates.
13. Termination
You may close your LIQA account at any time by contacting support@liqa-invite.com. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid for completed or in-progress services.
LIQA may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. We may also discontinue the LIQA service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Qatar.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, notify registered hosts via the app or by email. Continued use of LIQA after updated Terms are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
